QotW: Favourite Holiday Cookie

Half Baked DudesI’m an Xmas baking freak.  It’s my grandmother’s fault. She made the best Xmas cookies ever including these amazing shortbreads she insisted age for at least a month.  The recipe was so closely guarded that I had to get it from my best friend who wheedled it out of my mother one time he was visiting.  (To this day he insists it’s proof that he’s her favourite.)

I know cookies aren’t strictly book related, unless you count cookbooks…. OH!  I’ve got it!!!

What is your favourite cookie and, if possible, what cookbook is it from? (recipes welcome!)
