Mara hilariously tries and fails at all the things she thinks will make her the sophisticated grown-up she wants to be. Rounding out all of this are delicious details about boob jobs, cooking with garlic, liposuction, eyebrow transplants, and gym memberships. Stuck in Downward Dog is a strong debut from a promising new writer.

About the Author

After fleeing publishing, Chantel Simmons worked as the assistant beauty editor at Elle Canada and as assistant editor at TV Guide before becoming the editor-in-chief of , Canada’s premier cosmetic enhancement magazine. She has written for Reader’s Digest, Elle, HGTV, W Network, and the Life Network. Chantel also writes weekly for .  She lives in Toronto with her husband.
